Upgrade to Big Sur do not see “get” button

I have a iMac 21.5” mid 2014 which says it’s compatible for an upgrade to Big Sur. It’s currently running Mavericks 10.9.5 I believe and have limited viewing on most websites since it is no longer supported.

However, searching in the App Store I cannot find the Big Sur app to download. When I do a google search I find links to the App Store for Big Sur but there is no “get” button. This also applies to other os like Catalina etc.

I also do not know how to do a bootable download file.

Suggestions?

You probably need to upgrade to El Capitan first.
