Remove immediately a clip

Hello. There is a quick way to select a part of a clip and delete it immediately, without making two cuts and then clicking the delete button. I have to do this process many times so I wanted to know if I can optimize the time. Thank you!

Select the section you want on the clip in the timeline. Mark In and Out points. Use the Range tool. Hold R and drag a selection. Once the edit selection is made press the Delete key.
