Two Pairs by the Same Name:

Do you have two separate pairs of AirPods that go by the same name? If so, that would be a reason for seeing this.

Verify the Devices:

Verify the devices assigned to your iCloud. See if you actually have two pairs: Check your Apple ID Device List to See where you're Signed in - Apple Support
