How can I restore messages accidentally deleted? I have iCloud backup but don't want to wipe my phone.

Once deleted messages are erased immediately.

If you have a backup that contains the messages, and you do not use messages in iCloud, you can erase your device and restore using the backup.

If you use messages in iCloud, no data remains after deleting a message.
