Since installing the MacOS 12.2 update I am getting a message 'you shut down your computer because of a problem' every time I start up even though I did no such thing. I have never had such a message before. Is this a bug and can it be fixed?

Suggest downloading the Application Etrecheck directly from a well Respected ASC Contributor. And Safe to use.
The application is free or paid from added features.
Run the application with Full Disc Access ( Security & Privacy - Full Disc Access ).
It will take a Snap Shot - both the hardware and software.
The Report will Not Reveal Any Personal Information.
Post back the Full Report - copy and paste - using the Additional Text Icon ( 3rd Icon to last )
We can have a look at the report for possible issues and may have possible suggestions to resolve the issues.
Any Third Party Applications that will interfere with the normal operation of the OS, alter, modify, remove or delete or attempt to do so is an invitation for disaster and may require a Reinstallation of the OS.
This includes AntiVirus, Disk Cleaners, Disk Optimizes, UnInstaller etc.
The The Built in Security is all that is required.

Post it by pasting it in the text box for a reply in this forum click on the addition text icon. This is because the normal reply text box limits how much you can type.
Problem solved. I went to Console on finder and emptied the Diagnostic Reports file. The message on startup is now gone.
It doesn't offer me any Report and I am not sure what you mean. The message gives me an option to open any apps that were left open when I shut down.
Hello! I tried this but it still happens on mine and every time I try to clear the Diagnostics Reports file, it'll be full again upon refreshing? Would you happen to know how to fix this :c
Hello again! Nevermind, I managed to fix it by deleting the Sleep Wake File in the Diagnostics Reports file!
