Command-shift-5 does not allow me to screen record. Please help. All it does is take a screen shot. The record option is not available. Are certain web sites blocking screen recording?

The 3rd and 4th icons with the circles in the lower left corner are the full screen recording, and the partial screen recording buttons.

In the Options box, you get to select your microphone if you want to record audio, or no microphone if you want silent.

When you start your screen recording, in the menu bar a new entry will appear. A solid circle with a square dot in the middle. This is how you stop the screen recording.

This is basically going to use Applications -> QuickTime Player -> File -> New Screen Recording
