Back up my iPhone using Time Machine app on Macbook

I'm wondering if I can back up my iPhone using Time Machine app on Macbook.

When I will back up everything using Time machine app on Macbook to an external drive will it bring a backup of the iPhone to the same external drive? So I don't need to keep the backup on my Macbook.

Thanks for the answers.

iPhone 11, iOS 15

No Time Machine is used to backup the data on your Mac to an external drive. You can not use Time Machine to back up your phone.

Yes, if that's what you want to do.

Thanks for the answers.

Yes, as KiltedTim wrote.

Be careful with that. If you delete the iPhone backup on your MacBook, that backup becomes a candidate for deletion on your Time Machine backup.

Anything you delete from your MacBook becomes a candidate for deletion. When you delete something from your Mac, Time Machine assumes you no longer want it. TM will retain backup copies of those files as long as it can, but when it needs additional space for more recent backups, older ones are deleted first.
