You can revert to your previous macOS from a backup..


The current up to date release on line is 10.15.7 (19H1713) January 26, 2022

Revert your Mac to a previous macOS version
https://support.apple.com/en-lamr/guide/mac-help/mh15216/10.15/mac/10.15


The older macOS installer backups on this server:

https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT211683

verify you are using the Safari browser to download/initiate the macOS links.



You can still download macOS 10.15.6 using the Terminal app if this is your issue, to see the list available copy and paste:

softwareupdate --list-full-installers 



to down load this specific version of 10.15.6 copy and paste:

sudo softwareupdate --fetch-full-installer --full-installer-version 10.5.6
