Updated from High Sierra to Big Sur but now it won’t load
Just updated my Macbook air from high sierra to big sur, but now my machine won’t load up and is just hanging !!!

Shutdown the computer by any means including the Power Button.
Disconnect all external drives.
Connect to charger.
Restart the computer and Immediately Hold the SHIFT key and only release the key once the Apple Logo appears.
This is Safe Mode and may or may not allow the upgrade process to complete.
