No way to change Apple Maps navigation voice guidance volume on CarPlay

This issue has been brought up tons of times here and elsewhere around the web. All the old threads are closed with no solution, so I'll start a new thread.

Is there any way to adjust the volume of the voice guidance while using Apple Maps on CarPlay?

In my car, you can change the volume of the voice if you adjust the volume while it is speaking. Great. Then, the next time it speaks, the volume is back where it started. Not great.

Most people seem to suggest adjusting the settings in Setings>Maps>Navigation & Guidance to try to fix it. This setting is no longer available in the latest version of iOS.

Anyone have any luck figuring this out? Can't say I enjoy having my eardrum blown out by Siri.

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities. We understand you'd like to adjust the volume of the guidance voice in Apple Maps while using CarPlay. We'd be happy to help.

The method you've described in your post though is the best way to adjust the voice volume. As for it resetting when you get back in your car the next time, this may be a behavior specific to your car make and model, as this personally doesn't occur in my Honda HRV. The volume level is remembered and consistent each time I get in my car until I adjust it while it's speaking.

Unfortunately, it's not a question of resetting the volume each time I get in the car. That would be a walk in the park. Just like all the other people who are having this issue, my volume resets every single time the voice guidance speaks. That could be 25, 50, even 75+ times during the course of a trip.

I wish Jeep could help me but it's an issue that affects tons of different car brands.
