The vital thing is not to create a user account on the new Mac before doing the migration. If you do the migratioin first, and migrate your account, your Home Folder and all its contents will appear under the same username and password on the new Mac. When you migrate or reinstall your apps, all your authorisations and sign-ins will already be there,

If you create an account with the same user name first, then the migration will change the name of the migrated account, leading to problems in trying to restore the situation.
