Recovering recordings from app iTalk

iTalk is a sound recording app that has not been updated, is no longer available in the App Store and will no load on my iPhone. However, I have backed up my iPhone to iCloud and I believe the .aiff files for the iTalk app should still be in that backup.

is there a way to download the iPhone backup in its entirety to my Mac and look through the individual app files?

I have tried using a few Mac apps that say you can recover iCloud backups, but after logging in to my iCloud account, the apps say there is no data nor show any backups, even though I know they are there because I have successfully restored from the backups and could even choose which backup to restore from.

Long story short, how can I access the individual files in these iPhone backups to recover my recordings?

iPhone X, iOS 14

Greetings Scrabblethecat,

We understand that you have some questions about backups, and we'd like to help. You will not be able to view individual files from an iCloud backup, only restore from it.

Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch from a backup -- We’re not recommending that you restore the backup that included those files. But, if you decide to try, be aware that any information added since the date of that backup will overwrite what’s currently on your iPhone. You’ll also need an app that can access the data in order to recover it.

Take care.
