Set up ipad

Hi my son gave me his ipad as he has an iphone and doesn't use it. I have just set up an apple Id how do I start up on the ipad ?

Did your son do the steps in the article below to make it 'your' iPad?

If he did the above, you should be guided through the steps to set up your Apple ID on the iPad.
