Question? Error is iPhone unavailable. how to goo about restoring from a backup as the phone XR will not accept any information.

Same as above. When trying to restore per instructions it won’t let me as the phone is off line. What the heck?

If your iPhone has iOS 15.2 or later installed, check out this link→How to reset your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch when you forgot your passcode - Apple Support. Otherwise:

See this Apple support link→If you forgot the passcode on your iPhone, or your iPhone is disabled - Apple Support

Or watch this companion video ⬇️

After restoring the phone using one of the methods above you can restore your most recent backup.

Thanks Lawrence for the try. But this was the first place i looked and it didn’t work. Enough tries that the phone no longer allows me to try and enter a passcode the error message is simply “iPhone unavailable”. Left it for two days till battery was dead completely hoping to kill it but it has a backup inside making that impossible. So I have resigned myself to the fact I am going to go to a Apple shop even though that is over a hour drive one way. Whew, and a big city. I live way out in the country and don’t do big cities well. Hmmm, maybe I will just send it in. Either way I bought a Samsung A32 5g that works fantastic and thinking just throw the iPhone in my junk box until such time as I might need it.

Appreciate your trying to help though,

Robert Falls
