What do I do Now?
Ok, bearohs1950, i can help you… go to Finder, then Preferences, and make sure that the box(es) for show removeable drives, show Cd’s and Dvd’s, show connected drives , etc are turned on( eg, there is a checkmark in the box) and when your usb flash drive is plugged in to your desktop mac via the usb port( front or back) it should show up( be visible) on your screen and in disk utilty… otherwise try 4 pram zaps on startup or try starting up in safe mode and see if the problem reoccurs.

Reset NVRAM or PRAM on your Mac - Apple Support (for Intel Macs) and Mac startup key combinations - Apple Support (for both types)
Continue to hold down the key combination and you'll get additional sounds indicating another PRAM zap.
I can't get my usb flash drive to download on my desktop mac. what's wrong?
"4 pram zaps" means what exactly? Do it four times, there's only boot-up sound. Thanks John B.
I'm trying to download a usb flash drive into my desktop mac, and having no success. Supposedly all I have to do is go to FINDER and it will show devices, including the flash drive. It doesn't show any devices. What should I do to get there?
