The keyboard backlight on my Macbook Pro 14 inch M1 Pro is not working

Hello everyone, I've got a problem with my new MacBook Pro 14 inch, M1 Pro - 2021. The backlight on the keyboard is not working. At the begin it worked just fine. I even don't know when it began not to work.

Can anyone help me find a solution of this problem?

Thanks a lot.

Thanks for the advice, I've tried it but it still doesn't work :/

If the ambient room light is strong it will turn off the back light, you can test this covering the facetime camera/light sensor.

Try a SafeBoot How to use safe mode on your Mac - Apple Support

Takes noticeable longer to get to the login screen, does a 5 minute disk repair before it fully boots up, and certain system caches get cleared and rebuilt, including dynamic loader cache, etc.

Login and test. Reboot as normal and test. Caches get rebuilt automatically.

I have the same issue here on two different machines. I have a 14" M1 Max as my personal machine and a 16" M1 Max for work. Both are suddenly showing the same issue. If I run dmesg in Terminal, I see the following all over the log:

RX: 20 02 00 00 00 00 56 00 10 02 00 DC 00 00 4C 00[SPI][HIDSPI]
TX: 80 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00
RX: 20 01 00 00 00 00 14 00 10 01 00 0F 00 00 0A 00[SPI][HIDSPI]
TX: 80 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00
RX: 20 02 00 00 00 00 38 00 10 02 00 DD 00 00 2E 00[SPI][HIDSPI]

Rebooting did not do anything to fix it either.
