New Iphone 13 mini. Texts show received from my apple id and no my phone #. I removed apple ID from Settings Messages Send and Receive "START NEW CONVERSATIONS FROM". Still have both on the "YOU CAN RECEIVE IMESSAGES TO AND REPLY FROM"

In "YOU CAN RECEIVE IMESSAGES TO AND REPLY FROM", have you tried tapping the Apple ID email address to uncheck it? That should remove the ability to use the Apple ID email address.
Oh boy yes it worked! I was concerned that it would hose some things up by doing that but it fixed the problem. Thank you!!!
