Mail keeps opening on my last read email. Using iPhone 13 how do I stop this and have it open on my main view page.

All is Operating it Should:

Opening the last-opened eMail is the way Apple designed the Mail app. So, close an eMail with the back button (until you get to the inbox), and all would open as you want. Frankly, it's never bugged me.
