Troubleshooting macOS Mail:

A. Clicking on the Mail Icon:

By clicking on the Mail icon, you would open then app. So, is it not opening?

B. Viewing your Mail:

Drag your curls to the far left of the screen, and see if the window pops up with the folders and eMails.

C. Getting your Mail:

1. Go to: Mailbox menu
2. Select: Get All New Mail

By adding the email accounts through System Preferences > Internet Accounts.
