How to reduce file size of HEIC image on iPhone 12 Pro Max

Can this be done in iPhone image Edit option?

The HEIC file size is the size needed to store the highest available resolution version of your image. The only way to reduce the size is to downsize the image or lower its resolution. There are photo editors that will do this if you don’t mind reducing the quality of your photos. An HEIC image will be smaller than a JPG image, because HEIC uses more efficient compression.
