Hidden Old Excel Application

Hi...I have an old version of Microsoft Excel hiding somewhere in my iMac and I can't seem to find it. I just bought the new Microsoft Office Home & Student version this morning. When it checked for updates after I installed the apps it seems to keep trying to update the old Excel also?


I have attached a photo of the error that keeps coming up. Thanks

I'm sorry, I don't know the answer to your question, but here are some thoughts which may be useful. If you have an older version of Excel installed it will be found in the Applications folder. Very likely what you have are some bits and pieces of the old Excel which are scattered throughout your hard drive. I suggest contacting Microsoft support for directions on how to locate and remove them.
