iPhone 7 given to friend

I gave my old iPhone 7 that's been offline for a couple of years to a friend for him to use activate before doing so I erased all content and settings and signed out of Apple ID

then I had ATT unlock the iPhone using imei

i received confirmation that is unlocked from ATT

then I gave it to friend

After giving it to friend I thought about the Find my iPhone setting

so I signed into iCloud.com and in Find my iPhone I removed the iPhone that was showing as offline

Question is

Did I do everything now for my friend to put his new SIM card with new phone number from Consumer Cellular "Bring your own Phone" in the iPhone 7 Plus I gave him?
