Installed macOS Big Sur 11.6.5 (4-5 times) but still "An update is available macOS Big Sur 11.6.5" shows up.

I have updated my Macbook Pro 2015 to macOS Big Sur 11.6.5 (4-5 times) but after installing the update I am still getting the message "An update is available macOS Big Sur 11.6.5".

Sorry to report but one of 3 things may have occurred.


1 - Try About this Mac to verify the OS is reporting Big Sur 11.6.5 is appearing. Refer to picture below only should read Big Sur 11.6.5 and not Monterey 12.3 as in picture


2 - The Apple Software Update Applet is not really working too well IMHO. It maybe mis-identifying that Big Sur 11.6.5 is available or it Maybe actually offering the Monterey UpGrade ( if this computer Qualifies for Monterey )


3 - Disregard this notification if the first two above apply
