Crucial external SSD used with Macbook Air

Bought a Crucial X8 external SSD that came formatted Exfat? Wouldn't APFS be better? Not to be used with non MacOS computers.

since you don't need the SSD to work with "non macOS computers", then yes, APFS is the recommended format.
