Reinstalling older MacOS through Recovery Mode without two-step verification

I'm attempting to reinstall MacOS Lions through recovery mode on a Mac Mini. The problem I am having is that when I get to the step of inputting my iTunes username and password, after I enter them, I get the two-step verification passcode on my other Apple devices. However, the recovery mode software on the Mac Mini is too old to have two-step verification (i.e. - there is not pop up box to allow you to input the code). So it just rejects my username and password. Any thoughts or suggestions?

"If you use two-factor authentication with devices running older OS versions—like an Apple TV (2nd or 3rd generation)—you might be asked to add your six-digit verification code to the end of your password when signing in. Get your verification code from a trusted device running iOS 9 and later or OS X El Capitan and later, or have it sent to your trusted phone number. Then type your password followed by the six-digit verification code directly into the password field."
