revert to factory settings but keep internet and OS (old 2013).

In the past when preparing a machine for resale I have restored it to factory settings. But they never have internet connection or an updated OS any longer. This time I’d like to repurpose my MacBook Pro to fill another need. What’s the best way to remove the docs and software but maintain the oS and internet connection? PS - I’m not too tech savvy, so simple steps please. Thanks in advance…

Open System Preferences>Users & Groups, unlock the lock, click on the little plus icon, make a new admin account, log out & into the new account.

Once in the new account copy your Photos over to the new account, then delete the old account.

I’d like to strip out everything (e-mail, chess, contacts, music, podcasts, banking info, etc.) except for photos and Adobe photo editing software. I have an iPad which is used for all my other needs.

I think this would work until I can save for a new MacBook Pro or Air for photo editing. If you see a flaw in my thinking, please expound…thanks!
