Can't download High Sierra after deleting Hard Drive and no backup

I deleted all info on my wife's MacBook Air (13", mid 2015) and failed to do any backup of any files. Tried Command R and trying to download High Sierra form internet but keep getting message saying there was a problem and to try again. Tried 5 -6 times and no difference. I also have the same MacBook Air which is working fine. How can I get my wife's working again? Can I connect to my computer to download?

Evidently my MacBook doesn't have the same programs as my wife. I tried doing the procedures that you recommended but it would not. I evidently changed my unit to a MacOS Big Sur awhile back. My wife's unit had High Sierra. Is there anything that I can do to try and recover from the internet or other means? Thank you.
