Hi everyone, I can't seems to screen records my screen. Every time I tried, it came out black only. No error message. I can still records audio but no visual at all only black. I am using iPhone 13 Pro 128 GB with plenty of space left (around 80 GB). Anyone else have had this issue? Thanks

i actually have exactly the same problem. A phone restart always fixes the problem for me as well but unfortunately after a few days it stops working again. I got the problem for a few months now and did every iOS update asap but the issue still persits.
Screenshots are working fine though. Maybe any other ideas than resetting the iPhone?

I feel like an idiot to be honest. But nevertheless it worked. It might be a simple bug in the end. I should’ve made it solved but I forgot. Sorry for the trouble, it’s my first time here. Are you experiencing this issue when attempting to screen record while using a specific app, or when trying to record specific content?
Does the same behavior occur when taking a screenshot?

Hi Maxlä I’m sorry to hear that. Mines been working fine after that force restart I did. Have you just restart your iPhone or have you tried force restarting it?
Press and quickly release the volume up button, press and quickly release the volume down button, then press and hold the side button. When the Apple logo appears, release the button

thanks for your fast replay. I actually just did a normal restart, so vol up vol down and then sliding the slider.
I tried the force restart now and will have a look if the problem stays fixed!

so i purposely let a few days pass, to test it again.
Unfortunately the force restart didn't fix the problem. I tried it again today, it didn't work. I just tried to record the homescreen so no specific app or anything.
After a reboot everything is working fine again.

I have the same issue. Black screen with audio. I have force restarted as well which temporarily resolves the issue. This has obviously been an issue for quite some time now, is there no permanent fix?

This is my iPhone 12, it’s always done that and I need to restart it every time, sometimes like three times a day because it happens over and over again. So annoying and so far have not been able to find a permanent fix for it. Not sure what to do at this point.

I am trying to screen recorder in the google chrome application which has the version 101.0.4951.58. I suffer the same thing, the recording is black screen
I have exactly this issue. A restart fixes the problem but I should not have to restart my phone every time to fix this
😔 After a few months of working fine, I too am having the same issue again on recording my screen. I haven’t found a permanent solution as well. Anyone know any permanent fix? Thanks.
