iOS 15.4.1 --- Problems with video, sound, & freezing

After downloading the new iOS 15.4.1 my iPhone 12 has STOPPED working properly... When I use WiFi all features work fine... BUT the moment I go outside my house and start using 5G all sound features on the phone stop working... no sounds for anything... all videos have no sound...


I have checked the settings and all options for sound and haptics are set up correctly (as before the update). I have tried restarting the phone several times already and it works properly after the hard reset for 1 hour or so , and then all of those problems come back...


I wish I had backed up the phone before I decided to update it... But I neglected to do that and now the only options that I have is either to do the factory reset (which I don't want to do as my last manual back up was last year) or wait till Apple releases their next iOS software update...


Does anyone else have experiences similar issues after the update?

Have you restarted the phone since the update? You might also try a forced Restart, no guarantee, but worth a try...

Thank for the tips. The fix worked initially but on the next day my iPhone 12 went back to experiencing the same issues... Now I am 100% sure that smth is wrong with the software update that consistently creates these sound and haptic bugs even after a forced restart. I'll just wait for the next software update... hopefully it will fix those things... Until then I will have to continue doing forced restarts every time I switch from WiFi to 5G which is kind of enjoying but at least it fixes the phone for a bit.

Hello, has this issue truly been resolved yet? I too upgraded to iPadOS 15.4.1 a few weeks ago on my iPad Pro (11” 3rd Gen.) and have the same issues with Voice Memos and my Notability app. I used to be able to record clearly, but now my iPad Pro does not pick up any voice dictation…only sounds if I touch the screen. On Monday I upgraded to iPadOS 15.5 hoping this would be resolved in the updates and fixes, but nothing has changed. I have hard rebooted several times and no luck. Apple, could you please look into this issue…as I need to record frequently to take notes at very important meetings, and this used to be my greatest asset in order to review meeting notes and create reports. Thank you in advance.

Mine too happens this way. I wish I can degrade the version to its previous versions. I just got this 13 and I was happy to see its latest version on the latest iPhone. Now I can’t watch long videos in peace. It glitches along the way. The audio is slower than the video like it’s been screen recorded. Apple please fix this
