Excel is not a feature. It is a stand alone application from Microsoft. It is not a free app, and as such requires a purchase or a subscription. to Microsoft's 365 service to get.

You can, if you want, download Apple's own Numbers application from the Mac App Store. It can open and convert Excel files.

Or you can buy Microsoft Office or subscribe to Microsoft's monthly or yearly plan to get access to Excel and other Microsoft applications: link-> https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/buy/microsoft-365
