Moving app to Launchpad

HI,

A net search has not produced an easy answer to this:- I have an app on my desktop and I want to move it to Launchpad. How do I do this ? My OS is the latest version of Monterey. Thanks.

See if putting the app in the Applications folder shows it in Launchpad.
