The Lightning port is probably just dirty. Try cleaning it out with a stiff toothbrush or some other reasonably firm, but soft, plastic tool. There are delicate parts inside, so don't be too forceful. You just want to remove the lint and dust.

Of course the suggestions to clean out the port are good ones. As far as I know, Apple wouldn't have an official fix just to repair the port and return it to the customer. It's just completely replacing the device for their "other damage" fee.
