how can i remove a device from my account when i dont have an iphone anymore

Go to:

appleid.apple.com

Sign in with the Apple ID and password you were using with that phone. Once logged in, click on the Devices link at the left. Your phone should appear as a choice. Click on that and choose, Remove from account.
