How to delete long command from terminal

Hi,

I opened up a terminal and typed a long command. Now I don't want to execute typed command but instead I want to write another command. Alternatively, I can close that terminal window and open a new one. How do I delete command without pressing delete button 50 or more times as my command has more than 50 characters.
