How do I connect my MacBook to wifi when I have factory reset the macbook?

Long story short, I have a new MacBook Pro, I forgot my login and had to factory reset the laptop and now I am not connected to the wifi. I’m in recovery and trying to re- install IOS but there is no icon in the top right or anywhere in the task bar to connect to wifi. Can anyone help? I bought this thing 2 weeks ago and haven’t been able to use it, so frustrating

System Preferences > Network and create a new connection with your network name and password.

Click the "+"

If that 2 week old thing is defective, take it back to Apple for warranty repair.
