Missing thumbnail images on Safari's Tab Overview featuture

Hi,

I have a iPhone 12 Pro and ever since I updated to iOS 15.5 the thumbnails image for my tabs in overview is no longer there. The only way to make it work is to go into each tab and reload everything and to keep safari constantly open. However sometimes it goes back to being blank even when leaving safari open. It gets annoying as I use my phone for lots of research in school.

if anyone can help that would be great. I have also tried restarting my phone and nothing helped.

Hello dumbo3420,

It seems like you are missing ways to preview Safari tabs on the iPhone. Since noticing this behavior, have you try to close out all tabs and start them up again?

Use tabs in Safari on iPhone - Apple Support

Close all your tabs
On any open page, touch and hold the Tabs button, then tap Close All Tabs.
You can also close your tabs from the Tab Overview screen. Touch and hold Done, then tap Close All Tabs.

You may also want to try to clear the history and cache from your Safari browser:

Clear the history and cookies from Safari on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

Delete history, cache, and cookies

- To clear your history and cookies, go to Settings > Safari, and tap Clear History and Website Data. Clearing your history, cookies, and browsing data from Safari won't change your AutoFill information.
- To clear your cookies and keep your history, go to Settings > Safari > Advanced > Website Data, then tap Remove All Website Data.
- To visit sites without leaving a history, turn Private Browsing on.

When there's no history or website data to clear, the setting turns gray. The setting might also be gray if you have web content restrictions set up under Content & Privacy Restrictions in Screen Time.

Regards.
