If I wanted to pay a monthly fee to stream music, I might do that, BUT I DON'T. I just want to buy a flippin' song! So why can't I search for one in the iTunes store without it trying to shove Apple Music down my throat?!
How can the iTunes store be making any money if you can't frickin' find anything you want top purchase?!
I'm having the same issue and this answer doesn't help.
I have iTunes Store turned on, I can buy music if it's on the store main page. But if I search for something it only finds it as part of an Apple Music subscription.
How do I get from the search result to the option to buy, or how do I make my search happen in the store not in Apple Music?

When you search for the song, then click "Search in Apple Music", make sure to change the tab at the top right from "Apple Music" to "iTunes Store"-
This should allow you to see the song prices individually.
