iCloud sync problem

I get the The document “xxx” could not be opened. Pages cannot open files in the “iCloud synchronization file” format. error message now that I have upgraded my computer to an iMac. I have followed all the sync advice and logging in/out etc multiple times, so I'm guessing this is a known Mac problem. Hopefully someone has the solution.

I am, running Venture 13.6.7 on my desktop Mac. Whenever I try to connect to iCloud there are problems with synching and downloading files; this can take a long time. I consequently causes issues when trying to update PDF files within Preview. Running Ventura 13.6.7 on my Mac desktop, and I have issues with synching with iCloud. It takes a long time for to synch, to the point where it is impractical to edit documents in Pages, Numbers, etc and Preview without the system getting stuck in synchronisation mode. Has anyone had a similar issue and is there a solution? I have checked for software updates for this Mac and it informs me that the operating system is up to date!

iCloud doesn't sync in 20 mins Hi, my MacBook Air iCloud folder and my iMac iCloud folder don't sync. within 20 minutes. I cannot see a pdf file on my MacBook Air iCloud folder after 20 mins. I actually can use the Internet without problems on both devices. My MacBook Air has macOS Ventura version 13.5.1 and my iMac has macOS Ventura version 13.5.1. What might be the problems and how could I resolve this iCloud sync. problem? Thanks a lot!

Try turning off iCloud syncing for Pages on all devices and turn it back on. If that doesn't help get in touch with Get Support, top right on this page.
