Cant move screenshot pics to trash, error code -36

I have 5 screenshots that I have on my desktop, I have tried several times of moving them into the trash to delete but am getting the -36 error code, "The Finder can't complete the operation because some data can't be read or written. I ave tried dragging the files into dot_clean but it says invalid directory. I have also checked the permissions as I am the admin for the computer.....any suggestions....super annoying I can't just delete some pics off the desktop screen....

iMac 21.5″, macOS 12.4

Where did those screenshots originate from?


Try restarting and then moving the files to the trash.


If that doesn't help, startup in Safe Mode and see if you can trash the screenshots in or after restarting from Safe Mode.
