date time issue (set backwards)

I need help 🙏


I keep trying to set my date/time automatically and it keeps reverting back to December 2021 with the wrong time!


location is enabled and located correctly and the mac is connected to the internet no issue there.


Also, the software is up to date

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 11.2

To start, have you read:

Does the issue persists in Safe Mode:

How to use safe mode on your Mac - Apple Support?


Also, have you tried to set the time and date manually:

Could you also let us know what year your Mac is?
