drop multiple photos into pages document

I need to drop a folder full of photos into a pages document and have them line up one per page. I want to resize on the page, add similar photos, and insert text to fill the page. I've tried every work around I can think of and searched for hours. This seems like a simple task, one that word does automatically. Pages dumps them all on top of one another. I must be missing something.

Pages does not know what to do with a bunch of images dropped on it. Not its design purpose.

You will have to decide if you want an image gallery where all of the images are in one location controlled by right or left arrows, or that you manually move and position each image where you want it with its text wrap set to None, or another text wrap depending how you want text to flow around the image.
