Migration Assistant failed to transfer office 2019 home from old MacBook pro to new MacBook Pro. How to I re-activate the software on the new MacBook Pro? The old MacBook is still operating and available.

Here is the reply I got from Microsoft when I asked them that question a while back (I have not done it yet):


In this situation, I suggest you deactivate Office 2019 Home on your Mac  Deactivate an installation of Office (microsoft.com)

and download Office 2019 Home for mac from https://www.office.com/ and then activate with your Microsoft account. Follow the instruction in the following article to download and install Office 2019 for Mac Download and install or reinstall Microsoft 365 or Office 2021 on a PC or Mac.
