Just wondering if there would be a reason for my apple iphone’s find my iphone alarm to go off without me using it…

This could only happen if someone was able to access your account or device using FindMy. If you have not given anyone else access, I would recommend changing your password. I would also enable Two-Factor, which will send you an authorization code anytime someone attempts to login.
