Will the MAC OS recovery steps work on an iMac? Keyboard and mouse are Bluetooth.

iMac 21.5″, macOS 10.15

You will probably need to use a wired USB keyboard since the Bluetooth keyboard may not be ready soon enough to access the special startup keys. The keys must be pressed immediately after hearing the startup chime.
