Droid/Iphone messages do not work

I have a new Iphone 13 Pro Max and I am not able to send or receive messages with a combination of droid and iphone users how do I fix it

Settings, Messages, turn on SMS and MMS

Settings, Messages, Send & Receive, Start new conversations from, ensure your number and not your email is checked/ticked
