Unsure what is up with my max whether it’s a scratch or a pixel (what apple support told me). I am wondering if anyone has a similar mark and can tell me for sure what it is and if there is a way to fix it at all. I’ll upload some photos of the small area.

It looks more a smudge to me. Scratches don't add color, white or otherwise, and are usually a very fine line. If some sort of abrasive was rubbed against the screen I can imagine a wide "scratch". But you'd likely know about that having been done.
