Automatic login (security&privacy) cannot be disabled. How to disable?

I cannot get automatic login to become disabled. No matter what, it seems to wake from sleep and ask for a password. This is strange because I have "Disable automatic login" checked in System Prefs.

The "helpful" thing is that it doesn't come up every time from sleep or restart. Just sometimes.

I'd just love it to go away so I don't have to enter a password.

I've included a shot of the System Prefs settings.
