MacBook Pro 2019 16 inch screen faults when opened fully

Hi,

Yesterday while working, my screen suddenly showed vertical coloured lines and flickered. After some investigation, I realised that it only happened when the lid was fully open. If only opened a small angle, the screen is fine.

The device has had no bangs or drops - indeed this just happened out of the blue whilst using the MacBook normally. I have attached an image.

Some sources appear to say I need.a while new display unit!!! Some maybe just a display cable. Are these right?

Many many thanks in advance if your help

Hi,

I suspect your display cable is something wrong. You'd better take your MacBook Pro to your local retail AppleStore, Genius Bar or Apple Authorized Service Provider to be examined your MacBook Pro there.
