How to set default resolution for when monitor is turned off?

Hi all, so I have a Mac Studio and I went with the Samsung M8 as a monitor, and I'm using it at a resolution of 3008 x 1692. Overall it is pretty good, but there is one small thing that has been bugging me with the way the Mac Studio and M8 interact.

In order to protect against burn-in, I have the monitor set to turn off after 4 hours of inactivity. But whenever it does that, I guess the Mac reverts back to a default screen size, which is much smaller. So when I turn the monitor back on, it switches back to the 3008 x 1692 resolution. But as a result, all the open apps and windows have shrunk down to a smaller size, in order to fit in that smaller resolution.

There has to be a better way to do this. Is there some way I can set a default screen size, so it retains this resolution even when the M8 is turned off? It's a minor inconvenience, but it has really been driving me nuts.

Mac Studio, macOS 12.5

Where do you have this set? In the monitor's internal settings (Auto Power Off) or in your Mac's System Preferences > Energy Saver > Turn display off after... ?

When you say you 'turn the monitor back on' it sounds like the first of those possibilities. If so, try disabling it in the monitor and use the Mac's Energy Saver setting instead.
