Reclaiming my music query - Macbook Catalina / iPhone 5s

Hi all,

I'm a musician and I need your help for the first time.

I recorded an important tranche of demos during the course of this year onto a Macbook pro (2013, Catalina), but the hard drive suddenly completely stopped working because of the flood of May '22. Thankfully, I'd backed them up onto my phone (iPhone 5s), but they were lost during the same storm. However, I managed to resurrect the phone.

Now, when I connect my phone to my new laptop, I see this (below): my demos still reside within the phone, but I can't drag them back onto my laptop. Is there a simple reason why could this be? Could it be an account issue? I might've used a different Apple email account, but I've attempted both. I'd really like these demos back, they mean a lot.

Thanks in advance,

Richie

Richie,

Unfortunately, putting a copy on the phone is not a backup, since iTunes/Music is not designed to copy non-purchased content from a phone to a computer.

If you have any other copy of those tracks of any kind -- a thumb drive, cloud, email attachments in your sent file, etc. -- look for the files there.
